On Wednesday 27th at 6pm our school had our own idol. We called it Salt Ash Idol.
The Organiser for this event was our music teacher Mrs Withers. We had two guest judges, Meryl Swanson and Sarah Tyndall from New FM and the third judge was Miss Jamieson our Principal.
There were many acts from kindergarten to year 6. We had all kinds of events - singing, BMX, dancing, tap and drama.
At the end of the night there were 4 awards. In 3rd place was Tara who performed on the keyboard. 2nd place was a tie between Brroke who sung Love Song by Taylor Swift and Chloe and Mia who danced to S Club. 1st Place went to Amber and Maddy who tap danced with a tap dog style and called themselves 'Tap Cats'. The encoragement awards went to Tom who performed BMX Tricks and Hayley, Cassidee and Zoe from Kindergarten who performed a tap dance to TNT.
At the end of the show all the participants received a show bag from NEWFM to thank them.
Our teachers, students and guests all enjoyed our brilliant show and had a great time. We thank Mrs Withers and our guests from NEWFM for a great show!
